The name though resembles with the Mighty fort Ratangad near Bhandardara dam; Fort Ratnagad is different fort situated in Raigad district near Pen. Its a small hilly fort which takes just 30-45 minutes to climb from the base.
Best season to visit this fort is during Rainy season. Awesome green valley and untouched nature's paradise surely mesmerize your senses.
How to reach there: Pune - Lonavala-Khopoli-Pen-Tirole-Walking route to Deevanmal(Base village)
From Pen you will get bus till Tirole. Tirole to Deevanmal is 30 minutes walk.
Deevanmal is base village of Ratngad fort.
Nothing much left on fort except water tank. But this offbeat trek surely a refresher for anybody.
Due to rain we could not catch all the glimpses of fort.
